Launching GGS Scotland
Hear some of our GGS Scotland colleagues share why they're excited about the launch of our dedicated Scotland company.
Matt Askin, our Technical Manager, says:
"Launching GGS Scotland has long been an aspiration of mine. So I'm thrilled to be now leading our GGS Scotland team in delivering for current and future Scottish clients.
Scotland has long had a positive and proactive approach to the management of ground gas issues. And I look forward to playing my part in continuing that tradition.
Plus on a personal note, as an avid climber and mountaineer, I'm looking forward to fabulous winter ice climbs in the spectacular Scottish mountains. "
Caroline Howarth, our Digital Communications and Business Manager, says:
"I'm really looking forward to getting to know our clients in Scotland. There's lots of interesting opportunities and challenges in the world of ground gas and contaminated land here, and I'm excited to be part of a dedicated team focused on the industry in Scotland.
Also, as a (very!) amateur videographer the Scottish landscape offers a wonderful backdrop for shooting digital content. So, tune in to our LinkedIn page, YouTube channel and website to see the ground gas mini-videos that I've got planned!"
Simon Talbot, our Managing Director, says:
"Scottish clients were some of the first adopters of continuous ground gas monitoring services and it’s been one of my long time ambitions to establish GGS Scotland.
I’m delighted we have found a great home for our team in the Falkirk office. It is really important to become more sustainable, reduce our carbon footprint and, along the way, provide a more responsive service that recognises the distinct legal and regulatory environment in Scotland.
I am sure that GGS Scotland will be successful at raising standards of ground gas monitoring, risk assessment and remediation for the benefit of both new and existing Scottish developments."
John Naylor, our Technical Director, says:
" It's a proud moment within the wider GGS family to be launching a dedicated presence in Falkirk with GGS Scotland.
GGS Scotland represents a local presence and our focused effort to provide quality environmental monitoring services for Scotland."
